The Urban Monk’s mission is to ‘serve up nourishment.’ Using certified organic produce gathered as local as possible to Christchurch and the Canterbury region, we’ve started with a special line of cultured vegetables that not only taste delicious, but which provide essential probiotics for digestive health. We aim to contribute to the developing local, sustainable food culture of Christchurch post earthquakes. As such we were one of the inaugural signatories of the Edible Canterbury Charter in March 2015.
