The Team

Matt has a long-standing interest in local organic food and voluntary simplicity. He has been a leader in the organic food movement locally and nationally since the late 1990s. After the Christchurch Earthquakes Matt was inspired by the local food resilience movement to found The Urban Monk in 2014 as a social enterprise that gives back value to the local food system.
